25 years of robots from The Field Robotics Center

Here is a nice gallery of robots from the Field Robotics Center at Carnegie Mellon. It basically shows 25 years of robotics.

The news ones are cool but the older ones are so much more impressive.

Thanks for the link! :D

For its 25th anniversary the Field Robotics Center held a special symposium on how the field robotics industry has developed and what the latest and greatest is today - some videos here.

Thank you for this link, as well!

It is the first time I happen to read about some aspects of Robotics Research I wasn't aware that any research was going on at all;
like the autonomous harvester (1993) and the autonomous excavator (1999)!

Thumbs up for their earnest efforts on all their robots designed to operate in hazardous environments.
