I feel that there isn't any major role of robots in society currently, and that robots won't be technologically advance in either hard or software design in the coming few years time to be part of man's every day life, even if they do, they wouldn't be easily afforded by the average person.

Robots are generally used in manufacturing, where robots repeatedly does a set of task, robot A puts on part A, then robot B puts on part B and it repeats with a new frame;so the current robots are rather fixed in what they can do as they are mainly design to do a single simple set of instructions. For robots to be greater incorporated into man's daily life, they need to be more flexible in doing a variety of tasks.

I feel that robots are superior to humans only in areas such as durability and complete obedience. Otherwise, human beings are superior in creativity. That's where they cannot replace us. There have been too many films and shows about how robots take over humans, warring, etc. So much so that we've been led to think that it's possible!

Hi there,
Robots play an important role in the society these days. We can see them anywhere like in factories, simplest example is the automation equipments used in the factories. Also we can see their contribution in the science field like robots moving on mars and moon, discovering space. In medical fields robots sometimes operate in the operation with the doctors.

Hey!

I'm sure robots do play a role in today's society.
Look at the factories today. Most of them are all converted into machines.
Disabled able to move about with an aid of a robot.
They are there to ease and reduce our workload.
They sure are a great helping hand to us.

Will there be more improvements on a newer robot which will change the current role them in our society?

they are just machines running commands that they run on. Therefore they will never be able to create their own programme as they do not possesses the think mind.
