If you have cable you might be able to tune in to a new robot show called “Japan: Robot Nation”. The documentary highlights how Japan is sitting on a demographic timebomb: It has the highest proportion of senior citizens in the world, almost no net immigration and birth rates are plummeting.
The future trend of the current net population loss is so bad that within the next 100 years Japan is forecast to lose two thirds of its population. The show discusses how the country with the world's second largest economy plans to use robots as a unique solution to its unique crisis.
