The first robot super model

Researchers at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science (AIST) in Japan have created the first robot super model. The robot was created in an attempt to reduce the size of humanoid technology and fit all required systems into the shape of a small woman.

The current prototype HRP-C4 stands 158 cm tall and weighs a mere 43 kg. It has 42 degrees of freedom, which allow it to walk with reasonable grace, and it is equipped with voice recognition to answer simple questions. Battery autonomy is 20 minutes. However, while researchers have accomplished an impressive technological feat, the super model robot's first steps on the catwalk at the Japan Fashion Show this week were still extremely hesitant.

Oddly enough, the robot did not model any clothing. Instead, she showed off her human-like face and hands, as well as a black and silver metallic body.
