The science leader for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) may have found the cool application all small UAV enthusiasts have long been looking for: Mustering cattle in the outback!

A couple alternatives to UAVs for gathering cattle in a gentle manner:

Controlling cows by whispering sounds into their ears through a robotic necklace (Distributed Robotics Lab, MIT):
