iRobot's Roomba vacuum robot deals with uncertainty all the time when it cleans rooms strewn with furniture and children's toys. But how well does it actually manage to clean? Robots put the Roomba to test, setting it loose in an arena full of multi-colour 'dirt'. Can you guess how much dirt it picked up in two and a half minutes? As a hint, here are some pictures of the Roomba in the arena, and a video of the first few seconds of cleaning:
