This robot arm can sit on your desktop and has five degrees of freedom, including a gripper, 120 degree wrist motion, 300 degree elbow range and a 270 degree base rotation, allowing it to reach a working area of about 38 x 32 cm or 15 x 12.5 inches.
It can lift up to 100g, and an LED spotlight on its gripper can illuminate your work. Assembly of the arm requires about 2 hours and no soldering. Best of all, the Robotic Arm retails for a mere 38 euros or 50 dollars.
Well, I must say I am pretty much impressed. I really can’t believe the Japanese are still doing it. I mean from the day I was born, all I am hearing about Japan is that they build electronic stuff. I guess they are still doing the same thing for the past two decades. Anyway, this robotic arm, despite looking good may not be a good buy for your utility purposes because by the time it picks up something, you can go to a health club and return back. So you might better keep it as a showcase item if you are a rich spoiled kid!
