The first weeks of this new year were marked by a series of robotics novelties showcased at the annual Consumer Electronics Show CES in Las Vegas.
Robot toy company WowWee showed off three new robots, including "JoeBot" which can beatbox and dance, the "Roborover" which is a tracked version of the Tri-Bot, and "Spyball", a spherical telepresence robot that can take photos and video. It also announced extendsion of its FlyTech series with two more flying robots. More infos in the press release and around the web.

iRobot introduced a second version of its gutter cleaning robot, Looj 2 (pronounced [Lu:sch]), a new version of the Roomba and also launched its iRobot iTube youtube channel.
The world's largest producer of lawnmowers, Husqvarna, demoed a lawn mowing robot which uses solar panels to extend cutting time.
And Anybots launched a new telepresence robot riding on a Segway-like base and equipped with a video screen and a laser pointer to point at charts or any other relevant things (more links here.)
