The IEEE in cooperation with California-based company Willow Garage has announced the third edition of its Mobile Manipulation Challenge.
Unlike its two previous editions which only had free demonstrations, this third edition will also feature competition in two standardized tasks: Cleaning up a room that has been used as a toddler's playground, and clearing a dining table and placing all the dishes in a dishwasher tray.
The challenge will be held in May 2010 in conjunction with the IEEE Intl. Conference on Robotics and Automation in Anchorage, Alaska.
