Interesting but I don't see how they can relate a laser range finder to a bees compound eye??? Sounds like a bit of hype to me.

Indeed ... press release does not really give specifics either. On second though, sounds like hype to me as well.

I like that they point out that you can 'avoid by decelerating/rotating'. And there I was thinking I should speed up and ram obstacles!
