Adrien Briod has always been a technology fanatic, and after thinking he was at the edge of high-tech playing with his LEGO TECHNICs as a kid, he eventually landed at EPFL studying robotics. He is now just a taller kid pursuing a PhD in aerial robotics and enthusiastically taking care of the maintainance and improvement of the Robots website, for your sole pleasure. |

Peter Dürr's dream is to construct a "Little Helper" just like his
childhood hero Gyro Gearloose. So after his degree in mechanical
engineering from the ETH in Zurich he is now pursuing a PhD in
robotics at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland. As an experienced
amateur musician, he was responsible for recording, editing and mixing
of every episode of the Talking Robots podcast. Peter now edits the
episodes of the Robots podcast, is in charge of the online forum, and
acts as a spiritual adviser for the Robots podcast team. |

Sabine Hauert is a Swiss-American robot geekette with a heart pinching enthusiasm for application oriented robots. If a robot can make her life better, or vaccum her apartment while she's doing interviews for Robots, then all the better! Of course, her work on Talking Robots has also left her intrigued and optimist about today's and tomorrow's ground breaking research in robotics. To catch the breeze, she is currently doing a PhD on swarming micro air vehicle networks (SMAVNETs) at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland. |

Adam Klaptocz is a robotics geek mainly interested in flying platforms, and one of the interviewers for Robots. Born Polish but raised in Canada, Adam is back in Europe for a PhD at EPFL in Lausanne. When not playing with robots, Adam can be found climbing the Alps, skiing the Alps, biking in the Alps, flying in the Alps, or interviewing for Robots. |

Christine Pachinger is the only "non-geek" of the Robots podcast
team. A medical doctor working in the field of oncology, her
pragmatic take on robotics and AI provides an important
counterbalance to the "dreamworld" of the team's scientists and
engineers. With her generalist knowledge, love of literature and her
sound background in history and politics, Christine has opted to add
a new angle to the Robots podcast by co-editing and reading the news
section. |

Markus Waibel is a robot enthusiast with a background in evolutionary robotics and collective systems. After peppering high-profile guests with questions on the future of robotics and AI as part of the Talking Robots podcast series, he headed the Robots podcast team until March 2010. Now Markus is on the lookout for robot news, events, facts and discoveries for Robots. To share something with Robots' listeners, feel free to send it his way at markus.waibel--at--robotspodcast.com. |
